These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the CardSynced platform, including your account, listings, marketplace orders, wallet balance, support tickets, disputes, checkout, payout setup, and withdrawals.
By creating an account, browsing, listing, buying, selling, submitting verification information, requesting a withdrawal, or otherwise using CardSynced, you agree to these Terms.
Important Summary
- Card payments may be processed through embedded Whop checkout.
- CardSynced keeps the platform's internal wallet ledger and order records locally.
- Seller earnings move from pending to available inside CardSynced before any external withdrawal is sent.
- Withdrawals require identity verification, a verified payout method, and staff approval.
- Refunds and disputes are handled through CardSynced's internal admin process.
- Chargebacks or outside disputes raised without first using our internal process may result in suspension or permanent ban.
1. Who Can Use CardSynced
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
- If you act for a company, store, or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
- You may not impersonate another person, create accounts for unlawful purposes, or use CardSynced in a misleading or deceptive way.
2. Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity carried out through your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, fraud, or misuse.
- We may require additional information or verification before allowing access to certain features.
- We may suspend, restrict, or close accounts that present legal, fraud, compliance, or operational risk.
3. How the Marketplace Works
3.1 CardSynced Operates the Platform
CardSynced operates the marketplace, checkout flow, internal wallet ledger, support workflow, dispute process, and seller payout workflow. We may use third-party service providers to process card payments, collect identity verification data, collect payout details, and send withdrawals.
3.2 Card Checkout and Whop
Some card payments are processed using embedded Whop checkout. Where Whop Payments is used, Whop or its affiliates may act as the payment processor and may appear on receipts, statements, or payment-related communications. This does not limit CardSynced's right to operate the marketplace, enforce these Terms, or administer disputes, wallet balances, and seller withdrawals on-platform.
3.3 Internal Wallet Ledger
CardSynced maintains an internal ledger for marketplace balances. Your wallet may include:
- Available balance - funds currently usable for eligible purchases or eligible withdrawals.
- Pending balance - funds waiting for release, confirmation, delivery, or dispute expiry.
- Reserved balance - funds temporarily locked for withdrawal review, disputes, chargeback exposure, or risk controls.
CardSynced may reserve, delay, reverse, offset, or correct balances where reasonably necessary for refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud prevention, shipping issues, compliance, platform fees, calculation errors, or policy enforcement.
3.4 Nature of Wallet Balances
Wallet balances are a contractual balance within the CardSynced system. They are not a bank deposit, savings product, investment, or regulated e-money product. They do not earn interest, are not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, and may only be used within CardSynced or other locations or redemption features that we expressly enable.
4. Listings, Sales, and Fulfilment
4.1 Seller Obligations
- Listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
- You must only list items that you own or are authorised to sell.
- You must keep inventory, pricing, condition, and shipping information accurate.
- You must dispatch sold items promptly, package them appropriately, and provide tracking or shipment information where required.
- You must not list counterfeit, stolen, unlawful, or prohibited items.
4.2 Buyer Obligations
- You must provide accurate delivery, billing, and contact information.
- You must review orders promptly and report missing, incorrect, or damaged orders through CardSynced's internal support process.
- You must not misuse delivery claims, refund requests, chargebacks, or disputes.
4.3 Order Release
CardSynced may delay release of seller proceeds until delivery is confirmed, the dispute window has expired, fraud checks are satisfied, or other platform conditions are met.
5. Fees
5.1 Seller Fees
CardSynced charges 0% seller fees. Sellers keep 100% of their listed price. There are no listing fees, final value fees, or commission charges for sellers.
5.2 Buyer Service Fee
A buyer service fee is applied to each order. The fee percentage is based on the buyer's cumulative spending on the platform, rewarding loyal buyers with lower fees over time:
| Tier | Cumulative Spend | Buyer Fee |
|---|---|---|
| New Buyer | £0 – £499 | 5% |
| Regular | £500 – £1,499 | 4% |
| Loyal | £1,500 – £4,999 | 3% |
| VIP | £5,000 – £9,999 | 2% |
| Elite | £10,000 – £99,999 | 1% |
| Legend | £100,000+ | 0% |
A minimum fee of £0.02 applies to all orders, including those at the 0% tier. Your current tier and fee rate are visible in your wallet dashboard.
5.3 Card Payment Processing Fee
When paying by card (rather than wallet balance), an additional card processing fee of 3.5% + £0.35 is applied to cover payment processing costs. This fee is shown at checkout before you confirm payment.
5.4 In-Store Purchase Fee
Purchases made in physical partner stores carry a flat 2.5% transaction fee. The fee may be paid by the buyer, the seller, or split between both, depending on the store's configuration.
5.5 Changes to Fees
We may change fees by updating the platform or publishing updated pricing before the new fee applies. Where a fee applies, it will be shown in the relevant checkout, listing, wallet, or withdrawal flow.
6. Verification, KYC, and Payout Setup
We may require identity verification, business verification, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, fraud review, source-of-funds checks, or other compliance checks before allowing listings, wallet use, higher-volume activity, or withdrawals.
Verification and payout onboarding may be provided through embedded Whop components or other third-party providers. You must complete all requested checks truthfully and promptly.
- We may refuse, delay, or limit access if verification is incomplete or unsatisfactory.
- You authorise us to request updated verification at any time where risk or legal requirements justify it.
- You must keep your payout information current and under your own control.
7. Withdrawals
External withdrawals are not automatic. A withdrawal request is first reviewed inside CardSynced. If approved, we may reserve your local wallet balance, fund the connected payout account, and then initiate the external withdrawal through Whop or another provider.
- You must have a verified account and a valid verified payout method before withdrawing.
- Withdrawals may be delayed, rejected, retried, or cancelled for risk, compliance, technical, fraud, or payout-method issues.
- We may set minimum amounts, maximum amounts, review periods, or reserve requirements.
- If a payout method is removed, invalid, unsupported, or rejected by the provider, the withdrawal may fail and funds may remain reserved while we investigate or retry.
8. Refunds, Disputes, and External Chargebacks
CardSynced operates an internal support and dispute system. Buyers and sellers must raise order issues, refund requests, and disputes through CardSynced first.
- CardSynced admins review dispute evidence and determine the outcome.
- Outcomes may include a full refund, partial refund, release of funds to the seller, wallet credit, replacement, or another reasonable remedy.
- We may freeze or reserve funds while an issue is under review.
- Our decision on an on-platform dispute is final for platform purposes, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.
Do not bypass CardSynced by filing an external chargeback, card dispute, or off-platform refund request without first giving us a fair opportunity to resolve the issue internally. If you do, we may suspend or permanently ban the account involved, freeze wallet balances, cancel listings, and recover our costs where permitted by law.
9. Suspensions, Restrictions, and Bans
We may suspend, restrict, or permanently ban any account where we reasonably believe there is:
- fraud, attempted fraud, or chargeback abuse;
- misuse of the wallet, withdrawal, or dispute systems;
- false verification information or evasion of KYC;
- sale of prohibited or unlawful goods;
- harassment, abuse, or threats toward users or staff;
- breach of these Terms or any applicable law.
During restriction or investigation, we may block buying, selling, messaging, wallet activity, withdrawals, or access to parts of the platform.
10. Taxes
You are responsible for your own taxes, reporting, customs duties, import charges, VAT, sales tax, and other regulatory obligations arising from your use of CardSynced, unless we expressly state otherwise.
11. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- use CardSynced for unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or deceptive activity;
- attempt to manipulate wallet balances, pricing, disputes, ratings, or payout flows;
- upload harmful code, interfere with the platform, scrape protected data, or attempt unauthorised access;
- use the marketplace to launder funds or process off-platform transactions disguised as marketplace activity.
12. Intellectual Property
CardSynced and its licensors own the platform, branding, software, and content provided by us, excluding user-generated content and third-party intellectual property. You retain rights in content you upload, but you grant us the rights necessary to host, display, moderate, process, and use that content to operate the platform.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardSynced is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of profit, goodwill, data, or business opportunity.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardSynced's total liability arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of: (a) the total fees you paid to CardSynced in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) GBP 100.
The platform is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, availability of every feature, or that every listing, partner feature, or payout route will remain available at all times.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the revised date. If a change is material, we may also notify you through the platform or by email. Continuing to use CardSynced after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law in your place of residence requires otherwise. The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer law gives you a different right.
If you have questions about these Terms, contact support@cardsynced.com.
